You don't have to go far to realize how differently people live in other parts of the world.  LA can be such a bubble sometimes and I often forget how much I appreciate getting out of it, even if I'm only going a few hundred miles.  I was lucky enough to go to Northern California to the Lake Tahoe area for my Uncle's wedding recently and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Packing Essentials:
  • ALASKA sweater
  • Bikini for hot tub
  • High waisted black jeans
  • ASH dress
  • Jean jacket
  • BIANCA dress
  • Ray Bans
  • Black booties
  • Strappy nude heels
We stayed at the Cedar House Sport Hotel which had great service and the hotel itself was beautiful.  It was a mix of an old log cabin with modern, metal touches.  I grew up going to the mountains a few times a year because my family has a cabin near Yosemite so this really felt homey to me.  Everyone was so relaxed and easygoing here which was a much needed vibe.

After the wedding rehearsal, we had dinner at Garwoods.  The view was so amazing looking right onto Lake Tahoe.  Our group sat on the top level in a private room.  They're famous for their "Wet Woody" rum drinks with many different flavor options.  Seriously recommend going to this place.  The cover photo of this post is the view of the lake from the restaurant!
I wore the camel ASH dress for the wedding rehearsal with a jean jacket over it.  It looked so cute, not too fancy or too casual, just the right in between.

The wedding took place at the Cedar Sport Hotel.  The courtyard was beautifully lit and I don't think it could have been more perfect.  The bride of course looked gorgeous and I don't think she nor the groom (my uncle) stopped smiling the whole night.
I wore the BIANCA wrap dress for the wedding.  It was a little chilly there so this dress was perfect because of the 3/4 sleeves.  I love the side slit in this dress; it was sexy but balanced because it's a maxi!
